About Us

Waterfront is located on North Shields Fish Quay and has been a part of the Corner family for almost 30 years.
It was taken over from “Jontys” by Michael and Ian corner who moved up north with their families to take a plunge and put their time and effort into rebuilding the chip shop.

Waterfront is very much a loved family business. Since the retirement of Michael and his wife Valerie, Ian and Deborah have taken the helm solely and work alongside their two daughters and other members of the family to maintain the original idea and traditions first established by Michael and Ian, as well as their highly skilled and knowledgeable team of staff who ensure that the customers get the best out of their dining experience! And to this day beef dripping is still used to ensure you get that mouth-watering taste of traditional fish and chips!

We have since expanded our menu to include pizzas, burgers, seafood and an ice cream counter which you can enjoy a treat from in shop or to take away! We also now cater for those with special dietary requirements such as vegetarians, gluten free options and vegan!
